Quick question for you all. If you work you project in the morning but take a long break at what point do you consider warming back up again, 4 hours, 5 hours? Also do you start your warm up from again from the beginning or is an abbreviated warm up good enough? Thanks all, got my dream route down to a 1 hang and am trying to figure out how to make the most out of the time I have left.

I've waited around an hour between burns before without any issue. If it's cold, or even cool, I'll be sure to throw a jacket and a hat on to keep my muscles warm. I've never tried going 4-5 hours before. I think I judge based on how I feel, but I also warm up much less than other folks. Usually 1 moderate route and I'm good to go (so long as I'm not feeling 'tweaky' in my fingers, shoulders or elbows).

I did a comp two weekends ago where I competed in the morning 9:00 - 1:00, they had an afternoon session where I rested (had lunch, hung out, etc) and I ended up in Finals and competed again at 7:00. During that 6 hour break I recovered from the previous 4 hours of climbing. I had a minimal warm-up before finals (maybe 5 minutes or so just ensuring my fingers were still well recruited, blood flowing to my muscles, nothing like the typical 30+ minute warmup I do), and performed absolutely fine. Better than fine in fact, I came into finals in 5th place and ended the comp in 2nd place. I attribute part of that to being very well rested haha.
Anyway, that's the longest break I think I've experienced so the anecdotal evidence is minimal.

It's certainly going to be personal. I've gone up to 2 hrs between burns without a 2nd warmup (though the route was not in your face at the start--it kinda provided it's own warmup).
I would say if you're in the 3+ hours range some type of 2nd warmup is wise, but as others suggested it can be quite brief. I would try something progressive, quitting the warmup whenever you feel you are ready to rock.
