Wondering if anybody has experience with either cissus quadrangularis (https://examine.com/supplements/cissus-quadrangularis/) or boswellia serrata (https://examine.com/supplements/boswellia-serrata/) for tendon health, either preventative or curative.
These two seem to be growing in popularity in the strength training world of supplements - with some good supporting research.
I've paged through the online literature and read some anecdotal reports of these supps having benefits for tendon repair/strengthening. Sounds like there is potential, though I'm still skeptical.
In the past I've cycled gotu kola (another ayurvedic herb with good research and anecdotal support), with no significant or noticeable difference. Though my last a2 strain occurred while I was off.
Either way - for $30, I think I'll give it a shot during my upcoming power phase. Doesn't seem like there is much risk of side effects as far as I can tell (seems less than glucosamine and msm anyway - which always made me feel garbagey). Anybody know any differant?
Thanks!
