On my right hand ring finger, if I close my hand in a tight fist and then slowly unroll my fingers out to fully extended if feels like something on my flexor tendon catches on my A2 then once my finger has reached near full extension it releases. There is no pain associated with this symptom or with the finger at all. This only happens when doing the unrolling motion I described and I never notice it while climbing or in daily life. If I lightly tape around the A2 the problem goes away, so I have been doing that each time I climb recently. Its more of a curiosity at this point since its causing no problems and with a little tape is easily resolved.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Sounds like it could be slight trigger finger?
Interesting today I was at the hand therapist in Houston, she is apparently the best in Houston. Was telling me that pulley injuries can result in scarring which can lead to trigger finger down the track, although she said it was more common with the A1 pulley... either a pulley gets too tight, or the tendon thickens and doesn't glide easily through the pulley anymore.
