Going down to the shallow MR. How much should I drop my baseline weight on this? PR on the deep MR is +25lbs. Was thinking of starting at -40lbs, does that sound reasonable? I started at -5lbs in the cycle that I achieved the +25lb PR.

joev9, i use both grips still, and i find that, for me, there is a 15 lb difference between the grips. so, say on the deep MR i am at +20 lbs, on the shallow MR i am at +5 lbs.
however, looking back through my data it looks like i have improved a bit more on the shallow MR than I have on the deep MR - i used to be consistently at a 20 lb difference. maybe start at 20 to 25 lbs less load than you would have started on the deep MR?

Thanks Slim! After reading your post (and just before I hit the board for my first workout) I bumped my starting baseline up by 10lbs and was able to make it through all 3 sets on the smaller pocket. The weight definitely felt right, thanks!
