Hi, I am a graduate student and spend a lot of sitting in front of my lab equipment waiting for data to generate itself. I've recently started using a powerball during this downtime, although not with the intent of ARCing, and feel a pump in my forearms similar to when I'm ARCing. Is this a legitimate substitute/supplement to ARC training or am I better off looking at climbing pictures and getting my pyshe on for the next training session? Thanks

I think your time would be better spent with a hangboard in the doorway. ARCing is about technique, and suffering and the powerball is neither.

Also concentric contractions are not super relevant to training for isometric strength so the pump resistance element is also diminished
