Just curious if anyone has any advice as to how to schedule giving blood in with the training cycles in order to minimize the impact of giving blood. I try to not give blood during the performance phase but other than that I am not sure where I can slot it in so it has minimal impact on my training. Any experience on the topic?

No personal experience, but it shouldn't make as big of an impact in a sport like climbing as it would in a more aerobic activity like running, cycling or swimming. Assuming your healthy, your nutrition is good and, if need be, you're supplementing your diet with iron to replace lost stores, you should be back to normal (your H&H) in 2-3 weeks after donating. Your best bet may be to donate, log your response to training stimuli, and plan accordingly.
A real answer to your question would be more personal. Personally, I'd probably try the base fitness phase.
