Hi-
I am ending a first cycle of training and am planning on 'resting' for two weeks before starting another cycle of training. What is defined as 'rest' and should I make it a point to stay off rock and plastic for the entirety before the second ARC sessions?
Do you think it is wise to do high intensity opposition circuit training during the rest, or would that be counter productive? Thanks
Marc

The idea is to avoid serious or intense climbing, but if you want to do something fun and mellow (like, say, an alpine slab climb a few number grades below your limit), that's fine. If you have any nagging injuries or trouble spots, avoid anything that would aggravate those as well. Any other type of cross-training is fine--whatever floats your boat I like to ride my bike and cram in as much Honey-Do housework as possible (so I can avoid it during my training cycle).
