Was Just invited by a friend to do this climb with him end of July, 5.8 alpine multipitch on Hallets peak.
My thoughts were to keep the base phase as it is along with the strength. My question is what phase of the training plan should I cut down time wise for the best results and to be ready around July 25thish lets say.
I also am planning on sticking to my training for a half marathon as I feel the cardio will help carry over to the altitude adjustment as I live right outside Chicago.
The only other thing I can add is that I will be working construction for the next month in a 40 story highrise where I could climb the stairs for cardio also.
I don't want to overtrain but I also want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks

If you're short on time, I would cut down the Power Phase, as that will no relevance at all to the climbing on Hallets Peak.
As for cardio, most of the approach to Hallets is a slightly uphill walk on a highly popular tourist trail. The last bit from the lake to the base of the cliff is the only hard part, which will involve boulder hopping up a massive talus field. I think your marathon training would get you in plenty-good-enough shape for that, but altitude is always tricky and effects everyone differently. Do yourself a favor and come to Colorado early so you have time to acclimate properly.
