Greetings, Thanks for the excellent book! I am a novice hangboarder and my question is about baseline resistance as it pertains to novice hangboard training:
What is the definition of baseline resistance?
It is a term that appears a lot in relation to strength training but I can't seem to find the precise definition of it. On page 115 it states that baseline resistance "will probably take some trial and error to determine." As a novice hangboarder how do I determine baseline resistance? For the intermediate and advanced hangboard routines the book clearly states the meaning of baseline resistance - for the intermediate routine it is the resistance that results in failure at the sixth rep of the second set. I don't see this definition for the beginner routine. Since there is only one set of each Is it the resistance that results in failure at the sixth rep of the first set? Perhaps this has been addressed somewhere but I can't seem to find it.
Thanks,
John

Here is a thread already started addressing Baseline resistance. If you can't find what you're looking for there, maybe ask in that thread so that we can consolidate information.
