I've always considered ARC Training to be the perfect platform for 'occlusion training'. This is not a t all a new concept. Performance Rock Climbing discussed this at length when first intriducing the concept of ARC Training. ARC means "Aerobic Restoration and Capillarity". The 'Capillarity' part is intended to increase capillarity in the forearms in order to minimize occlusion.
Granted, ARC training is not well controlled compared to hangboard or weight training, but it has tremendous specificity, and provides great opportunities for skill development and grip control training, which are easily as important.
