As a climber who is new to getting outdoors, but doesn't have the opportunity to get out consistently I've found that I probably need to build up my route pyramid and try to work on a project on the same day. What would be the best strategy for accomplishing this? Warmup, then project, and then get mileage or the other way around? Thanks!

Honestly, the correct answer here is don't try to do both on the same day. If you have limited time outdoors, it would make the most sense to spend your time on shorter projects (1-4 attempts) during the performance phase than on one big project. You'll get much more exposure to a wide variety of movement and be able to develop skills/technique more rapidly.
Outdoor mileage is different and would come during the base fitness phase.
