Has anyone ever hurt their toes from putting them into a strenuous position (like a smear or edging on a small foothold) for too long on a route?

Not hurt or injured exactly, but sometimes very stiff and achy after heavy technical climbing day. I can tell the day after while walking that range of motion of my toes is limited and they are hurting a bit. It gets better after a couple of hours usually and I dont have any long term issues so Im just letting it be.
What is your weight? What is your foot size? How much do you downsize your shoes? What type of climbing shoes do you use? How is your actual footwork while climbing?
These are the factors that play the major role in this issue I believe...

Sounds a lot like what I'm dealing with. Thanks!
