I’m at the end of my second cycle and have been thinking about this. Both times after the strength phase I would go into the power phase, and feel REALLY strong for about two moves. I would struggle on moonboard problems that were more than two or three moves, and I’d struggle on single ladders on the campus board, but I’d feel plenty strong on two or three move boulder problems or on max ladders.
I’m switching to the intermediate hangboard routine so I’ll be interested to see if that changes anything, but I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Everything would sort itself out eventually as I transitioned to PE, so I was kind of thinking that maybe I should just not worry about it and focus on those two moves max power problems until I am climbing more normal again.
