3 weeks ago my a4 pulley popped. Range of motion is at 95% and pain is relatively non existent. My question for ya'll is: should there be no more inflammation at this point? The finger is still noticeably swollen. I've been doing contrast baths, range of motion/resistance via rice bucket and a few days ago I started doing hangs with 50 pounds removed. Should I be worried about the swelling?

Depending on the severity of the injury, swelling can last for months, especially post-rehab/training. I wouldn't worry about it. Instead, pay attention to any pain during or after training.

Very cool! I haven't noticed any pain during my hang sessions so I'm feeling good about it. Planning to hit the gym today and climb very well below my grade using a strictly open handed grip. Thank you very much for your reply!

I messed up my A2 and flexor tendons a few years back. They were swollen for a while. It’s healed now but it healed “fat” courtesy of scar tissue.

My finger was looking pretty fat this morning Haha. Feels a little stiff from my hangboard session yesterday. Thinking I might back off for a week or so and go back to just icing and rice bucket exercises.
