Picked up a copy of RCTM recently and am loving the book. I got to week two of the base fitness phase (trad specific program) and managed to get too sick to train on day 13. It is now day 16 for me, does anyone have advice on if I should go right into strength when I get better (likely day 18) or just add another week of Base fitness to the program to make up for lost ARCing?
Thanks in advance,
Ben

Either option is fine. Missing a workout or two won’t have any noticeable long term impact. Especially true during the base fitness phase.
If your training schedule is oriented to peak at a specific time, I’d say just move on with your training as planned. Alternatively, if your schedule is more open ended and you feel like doing more ARCing, that is fine too. Basically, it doesn’t matter.

I have found that if I'm pushing too hard, I will be more susceptible to illness.
