I just did 3 days on, and I almost never do that. I promised myself 2 rest days now, but the weather is going to be great for the next two days (and then snow). I feel perfectly fine, not tired and nothing hurts.
Do you ever take a rest even when you're feeling great just because you know you "need" to?

I play it by ear. I'm 35 years old, but even when I was a teenager I seemed to need more rest than most. If additional climbing will help me reach my goal more than rest will, I'll climb when I can, but I'm almost never in this situation. I work odd hours, a lot of weekends, the weather here stinks, and I have four little kids and a wife to take care of.

If it was anything training related, then you’re not trying hard enough. If it is not training related and you are just having fun climbing without worrying about trying hard or sending a proj, then go for it. Just be extra mindful of listening to your body and calling it quits as soon as anything feels off.

If you program in 2 days of rest after a training day, then you should feel pretty exhausted. But if you program in 3 days on, then you shouldn't be doing so much volume that you don't feel ready to go the next day.
