Hi all! I am excited to have received a job offer in Boulder. I will be leaving the "beautiful" flat midwest in about 6 months and moving to Boulder, assuming I can afford to buy a house there ;p I hope to get to climb with the people in this forum that live around the area-I will post again when I move and perhaps someone will be kind enough to show me around some of the bouldering spots in the winter:) For now, I just wanted to share the stoke!

Awesome! We're getting a nice concentration of Rock Prodigies out here.
If housing proves to be a problem, be sure to look into some of the bedroom communities around Boulder like Louisville, Longmont, etc.

That's awesome. I know avaserfi is up in Denver now.
One of my goals this year was to get closer to quality climbing. I'm convinced that being within driving distance of quality climbing, and having a home woody for convenient and controllable training, is key to long term success in climbing. To that end, seems you will be much better off in Boulder.
GL and enjoy!

Hoping to get to Boulder or Denver in the next 1-6 months (in the interview process right now). Would be stoked to climb with other RP-folks out there.

Yes, looking to buy a house now and it is proving to be a nightmare. I am looking into broomfield, Lafayette and Louisville. Any reason I should prefer one over the other?

I've never lived in any of those places. I would ask on Mountain Project--I'm sure you will get many spirited answers. I would consider how close/far you would like to be from Denver, and whether you want more of an urban or small-town environment. It might also be a good idea to rent for the first few months so you can get the lay of the land and take your time looking for a house. That's what we did and it was well worth it for us.

Louisville has a cool downtown area, street festivals with live music most Fridays over the summer, and a brand new gym (Evo) that is supposed to be a great place to train, I haven't spent enough time in Broomfield or Lafayette to have an opinion on them
