Rock Prodigies,
Thanks to all of your great support, the Rock Climber's Training Manual has been selling like hotcakes. It's time for us to start preparing for the next printing and we would like your help!
If you have found any typos, grammatical errors, or factual error in your book, please post the details here, or email me at rockclimberstrainingmanual (at) gmail (dot) com.
(Note, we are already aware of the misspelling of "Physical" in the header of the odd-number pages in chapter 4.)
Thanks, Mark

Mark, on page 208, it should read "When I want dessert" instead of "When I want desert". My mother once told me you need two s' because it tastes better than sand and you want more of it.
And BTW, I do love the book, desert and all.

Hi Anderson Bros.,
This is a question that might double a suggestion for the 2nd edition: in your Beginner's Campusing Workout example, there are a few places (next to Max Ladders, I believe), where it says something like "...Continue until successful completion". (Sorry, don't have the book in front of me so I don't have the pg. # or exact wording at hand.) Can you clarify what this means? My interpretation is that you shouldn't be able to actually complete whatever Max Ladder you're attempting on the 1st set, but to continue to attempt it (I think the book says for up to 8 sets) until you do complete it. Is that accurate? Maybe it's just me, but it is a little confusing and could be an opportunity to clarify for the 2nd edition, even though it's not a typo/grammatical error.
Thanks! Dan

Dan,
Your interpretation is correct. But you're right, it may be worth clarifying in the text. I know another one a few people have asked about is the definition of a "Progressive Max Ladder".
One limitation we have is that since this is only a second printing, rather than a second edition, the publisher only wants us to fix typos, so we may have to leave some of this for the next edition (if there is one).
Still, I really appreciate the feedback and I'd like to keep receiving it so we have it available in case we are able to make more substantial changes.
Mark

Page 167, Mike Anderson's inset talking about PE training at Smith Rock, 2nd paragraph: "With no PE training, I was a long shot to send this classic..." I think it should be "it was a long shot..."

In the Nutrition chapter, eating at Subway is mentioned. This invalidates anything you have to say about nutrition! Please remove. I disregarded the entire chapter. Just focus on climbing.

Page 103, the caption of the photo indicates the route shown is "bistec de biceps". This is the name of a 7b+ single-pitch in siurana. The route shown is called "fiesta de los biceps", a wonderful 7a in Riglos.

Tiago,
That's funny. I've actually climbed Bistec de Biceps, and that's probably why I made the error. Thanks for the correction! Mark

Completely grammatical and practically irrelevant: Inconsistent use of hyphenation, particularly for power endurance and base fitness (not hyphenated in base fitness chapter, hyphenated in later chapters. OK if hyphen is needed eg "power-endurance training" or "base-fitness training", but otherwise should not be hyphenated.

Typo: On page 77, in the section "Too hard, or not hard enough?", the second line says "prefect training" when it should say "perfect training"
