Hey all - I'm in India and could use some help designing a very simple hangboard! I'm basically thinking something along the lines of a piece of ply with a few varying depth edges. I won't have access to a pulley system so I'm thinking larger edges and adding weight, nothing small as I won't be able to warm up on anything but the hangboard I make either. It needs to be hangable as I won't be able to mount it, and the simpler the better.
Does it make sense to try to make some holes in it to act as pockets or should I just do various finger combo hangs off edges?
i could probably add blocks for pinches but in my last training cycle I was taking off quite a bit of weight on all pinch sizes which I won't be able to do here. Leave them off?
Last question - is there some hole placement that makes hanging the board better? I've heard the basic hanging boards have problems with rotation. Thanks!

For your traveling set up you could try these rock ring type things or this portable hangboard. Pretty simple design and if you'd prefer not to go through the hassle of building them, you can buy them through the linked website for <$100. I wouldn't describe myself as particularly handy but I was able to bust out the ring things in about 2 hours with just the detritus in my garage.
