Thanks everyone. I’ve trad climbed mostly for a long time now – I haven’t actually worked sport since the 80s – I climb sport occasionally but not often anymore. I haven’t climbed all that much in recent years so I’m excited to try to push myself and see how things go this winter and spring in training and what I can do come next outdoor season clipping bolts. I’ve been lifting weights and competing in “Grip Sport” for a while now but plan a return to climbing this next year. I believe edging and front pointing will be more important than toeing in and hooking for me. At 68 I have a lot of dings etc I have to deal with and steep overhanging stuff really flares up my elbows. At the areas I climb and at the levels I expect to climb things just off vertical one way or the other (10 to 15 degrees) will be most of what I do. It’s great having this community for inspiration and advice. I think if I can “stay on my feet” I can climb for many more years – but if I go “steep” I’ll cut that down quite a bit. I have never really worked routes, just walked up and sent or failed, so this will be different for me.
I'm retired so have plenty of time to train.

Just received a pair of Iati from Tenaya in 11.5 size. The tongue is different and makes the shoes hard to put on I think but they feel very good on my feet - quite tight but not painful. I think I could squeeze into a size 11 but that might be too painful to climb well in. Have to help the neighbor put a roof on this weekend so won't get to try them out just yet. Thanks to everyone for all the advice on models and sizing.

Any update on the sizing? I'm a 12 street torn between ordering 10 or 10.5, mostly for sport.
