Though not the most important piece of gear when it comes to climbing, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendation for a good rope bag? thanks!

I've used all sorts of nice purpose-built rope bags, but my favorite is still the 99 cent blue IKEA bag.

I have the Metolius Ropemaster (I think that's what it's called). I don't think it matters too much, but here are some considerations: Does it have a tarp? Two tie-in points? How well does it fit into your bigger pack or will you carry it on it's own?

I really like my Antidote rope bags. Granted, I'm biased, but they have a few features I like, such as color-coded tie-in points, so you know which end is the "top", and a see-through window that allows you to quickly ID the rope without opening the bag (really helpful when you have multiple ropes). There's also a zip pocket on the outside.

I don't like carrying multiple bags to the crag, so I use the Trango rope tarp. I just roll it up and put it in my pack. BTW, Mark, you can tell Trango I'm open to sponsorship...
