Hi,
on the very first session of the power phase i fell unluckyly from a boulder and injured my knee. i was taken to the hospital. first diagnose: strained ligaments. rest (1 week), ice, compression, elevation. I extended the hangboard phase a bit and started with climbing after a week instead of bouldering. i really dont want to fall on that knee again to soon...
it's been three weeks now but my knee has still not fully recovered yet. I think that in addition to the strain I also have some meniscus injury because when i try to fully bend and stretch the knee it hurts a lot (not diagnosed yet, but check-up is planned)
Does anybody have experience with knee and particluarly meniscus injury? did you get surgery? how would you stick to the training cycle without bouldering? btw: campusing is ok, since i jump down in a very controlled way...
thanks a lot for any input!
Cheers Phil

Phil
1) You should probably get an accurate diagnosis
2) Mike's most recent post on the blog discusses an injured lower extremity and how he dealt with it
