So I am an idiot.....I always thought the spacing was 8.6x5=43 inchs = 1-5 but you don't count rung 1 durrrrr
It seems I've actually been training 1-6-9 and the gym's board is closer to 1-5.5-8.7 Feels Good to know where I am at
What do you guys use to find the degree of the board, find the vertex and use a protractor?

i was going to bring a plum bob, a ruler, and a calculator to the gym to measure their campus board and to record my system board angles. then i got a better idea - buy a digital inclinometer. then my wife had the best idea - "there's probably a free app for that". now i just use my phone

Yeah, I just use the built in compass app on my iPhone. Seem's to be fairly accurate.

I love the looks I get from the non-devotees when I pull out the inclinometer on my iphone (it's built into your compass app -- just swipe to the side from the compass) at a gym I haven't been to before and measure the incline of the campus board. It's pretty funny...

I also proudly rock a flip phone. If you're not ready to agree to Apple's user agreement (South Park/Human Centipede anyone?) you can buy a digital level at most hardware stores. I have one made by Husky, which I probably got at Home Depot. They also sell analog inclinometers for a few bucks, like the one shown in my Original Campus Board blog post.
Also, FWIW 22cm is more like 8.66 inches. Not a huge deal, but works out to about 1/2" difference from rung 1 to rung 9.

I know its 6666 repeating of course, I just like to forget about that decimal Rung 1-rung-9 Is 69 inches on my "board" which means its .28 inches shorter than a true 1-9 close enough for me

On a related note, I just found out that the gym where I was (Finally) able to do a 1-4-7 on the large rungs does NOT have Moon spacing. Spacing was 15cm rather than 22. Turns out with Moon spacing I can barely do 1-4-6 and just like that I realize that I suck at campusing again.

I go back an forth from feeling really good at it to feeling like I suck
I used a protractor app on my gf's phone to find the angle of another gyms board, it kept telling me between 11-16 degree's (kinda hard to get a solid reading since the phone has round edges instead of a perfect right angle).....Whatever the angle is.....it feels like I am trying to pull my body up a fricking slab...which makes 1-5-8 feel impossible
If that's what a standard board is suppose to feel like, I dont like it at all
I've definitely noticed every other board I've been on feels significantly steeper, more like 20 degrees (which feels more appropriate to me)

Protractor at back to school sale = $1.00 Piece of string + something weighty to tie onto it = free Tie the weight to the string, the other end through the protactor hole.
Now you have a $1.00 inclinometer.
Slide the protactor against the side of the board until the string at the hole just touches. Weight hanging free in space, tilt the protractor to line up the string along the 0 and 90. Now read your angle where the board intersects the protractor.
You can use the same set-up as a level (I once hung shelves in a college girlfriend's apt this way when faced with a "I don't own a level"). Hang the weight as a plumb bob, line up the string on 0 and 90, now the top edge is level.
