Greetings All,
I'll be heading out to Wild Iris and City of Rocks in a couple weeks and am looking to do some .13a/bs along with collecting some classic pitches of lower grades, including traditional pitches up to 12-. I'm well trained for pockets, so no need to steer clear of them. Any recommendations appreciated.

The must do 13a at the Iris is "When I Was A Young Girl I Had Me A Cowboy". It gets all day shade, which is a huge plus. There are no comparable 13b's, but Cow Reggae is probably the most popular. It's on the Rodeo Wave, which is the Grand Central Station of Wild Iris (which is fairly dispersed), so if you like people its a good spot. There are several linkups that climb through Reggae, so if its crowded that could be an issue. Fortunately it only takes a few seconds to climb those "routes" so burns are short Last Man Standing is another good one that's less popular.

Just wanted to say that I didn't try any of the above routes (didn't even go to the City due to heat) but had a great time- thanks in large part to the training I did this spring from your book. Since I live near the Red I was mostly interested in doing less overhanging routes with fingery sequences. I'd been hanging that Mono on the board just waiting to use it. Buck A Move, Silverbelly, and Tres Hombres all gave me that opportunity in spades. I also really liked John Wayne. Thanks for the help!
