Looked for a thread that already covered this, but was unable to. (Admins, feel free to merge this if I simply missed it.) Finally bit the bullet and acquired a RPTC! Spent the evening installing it. Here are the photos: I went with the plywood double French cleat system. The second cleat adds stability and closes off the pocket holds. I may have to add more screws in the wall-side cleats. I currently have 5 on each. Just hung around a bit tonight. First thing I noticed is how much more advanced these holds feel compared to the Metolius Simulator 3D. My charts may have to have a restart!

It looks like you only use one pulley. Don't the hanging weights get in your way?

I hang the weights pretty low. Like between my feet. So, no problems yet!

Hidden benefit of doing your training in a stairwell I suppose lol I also use only one pulley and I've never been bothered by the weights hanging in the middle. I didn't even realize that could be a problem!

i have always used a one pulley set up also. i kind of like it because you can use a wide foot stance when you come off, and not have to worry about the weights clanging on your leg. my current setup is in my garage, and the pulley is up pretty high. this helps move the weights a bit further our in front of you without the angle of the rope pulling you forward.
also, if you are using a hold that requires a lot of weight taken off, it is easier to lift when it is in front of you.

Charlie, that sure looks purdy! Have to keep things looking nice if The Wife has to see it every day! Did my first set of hanging on it tonight. It's a really good board! I must have been weak last night after installing it. The edges are all comfortable (except the thin crimp which started pulling off skin after 3 hangs; had to switch to the smallest side of the SVDER). And the adjustable mount is THE WAY to go! Thanks for posting all the options on your website. It really helped nail things down and visualize the tactic taken here.

Charlie, that sure looks purdy! easy now! sounds like RPTC 2.0 will need an 1/8th pad mono. not just for you and mike, but for the wu li master also. did you see that ring finger mono planking photo? geez louise, that is pretty crazy.

It's a really good board. You don't say? On the thin crimp, take a close look at the texture. I recommend sanding most-to-all of the texture off this grip. You don't need it and it will destroy your skin. Even then, if there are any voids in the plastic, sanding will not fix that (but you might be able to fill the voids with glue and then sand them smooth). RPTC 2.0 should fix this problem.

Wait; did I miss something? RPTC 2.0? Am I going to have to buy another model, and in every color no less? I'd work extra shifts to afford it, but it would cut into my goof-off time too much. I'll just have to sell my truck instead.

Wait; did I miss something? RPTC 2.0? Built-in cleat system? Hand crack and finger crack? Tilt options? Integrated timer? Magical pixie dust that makes you stronger? Was serious about the first item. I probably spent the most time making sure the pieces were level with themselves and each other.

I like the idea of an integrated timer, though in all honesty I really want to see a smartphone app designed to work in conjunction with a hangboard. Basically, the manufacturer puts the various hangboard workouts in the smartphone, you select a work out, hit start, the smartphone keeps track of all your hang times, rest times, workouts, and logs the workout for you in some sort of exportable excel spreadsheet.
