So I'm at the end of my first week of power training leading up to a bouldering trip at the beginning of April. I work at a private school with a passable climbing wall so I can easily perform hard/limit bouldering during the week. The only campusing I have available is a bit of a drive so the only days I could make use of it are on the weekend. Add to this the cost of a day pass to the gym and it leads to me only being able to do campusing once per week at best. So, my question is, is it worth it to pay a drop in fee to do one campus session per week or would my time (and money) be better spent just doing hard/limit bouldering and saving up to build some semblance of a campus board at my house. If I choose the latter option it won't happen until at least my next cycle.
Thanks for your help!

Once a week is enough to progress, so there is potential upside. Consider your weaknesses, and how important contact strength and dynamic accuracy training are relative to your goals. If they are critical, it's probably worth the time/cost.
Certainly the best long term option is to build your own campus board, so if funds are limited, saving some money on gas and day passes to invest in your campus board may be a worthwhile short term sacrifice.

OK, that was what I thought. I'm going to focus on the limit bouldering this cycle and put some money away for a homemade campus board for next cycle. Thanks for the feedback!

At my age (45), I am just limiting myself to one campus session per week during power training. It was always a major weakness of mine, but I have made good progress recently completing 1-3-5 on my medium rungs with both leading hands. Next training cycle, I might try to squeeze in a week or two with 2 campus sessions but I would rather be conservative, makes some gains, and not get injured...

I would rather be conservative, makes some gains, and not get injured... Amen brother! Took me a decade to figure that one out.
