Hey guys
The climbing gym I'm campusing in has rather short campus boards, only 5 strips. I have been able to start doing basic ladders and getting to the top with enough power to keep going. What would be better, to, as soon as I reach the top strip let go and immediately start over again or make up for the short campus by performing more sets? Last time I did B1-L2-R3-L4-R5-B1-L2-R3.
Thanks!
Pablo

I have gotten a great deal of benefit from really focusing on keeping my upward momentum flowing on standard ladders. So, I would say, before adding volume I would really focus on intensity and quality of the standard ladders.
However, it is unfortunate that your board a bit taller, 2 more rungs worth of distance would be nice, especially for your max ladders.
In terms of measuring the quality of standard ladders "maintaining momentum" is a hard to quantify-- but I think part of it comes through in the amount of time it takes to complete the ladder, and would also be apparent in a video. Next time I start a campus series I plan to get a friend to film my ladders so I can see the difference between my high quality and low quality sets.
