Whats the best yearly schedule to take advantage of weather while living in the Colorado front range? How many cycles? 2, 3 or 4? And when should they start? How should you plan it so you are peaking when the weather is best for your preferred areas and climbing types? Other considerations, vacations (family always wants to get together near x-mas), and also road trips to Utah or another country, for example. And another consideration, how would this change if you want to peak for sport (say locally or farther like independence pass or rifle) or trad (say eldo or Indian creek). There are too many elevations and places to climb and I can't make up my mind! What do all the people on the forum that live in CO prefer?

Haha, Ya you have to make some tough choices because the fact is you can climb year round here. I've had success with either 3 or 4 cycles per year. The real challenge I've found is that each crag has its own season, so it's difficult to get consecutive seasons at the same crag.
Anyway, lately I've done my performance phases (all approximate/give or take a few weeks) in January, March/April, June and October. These results in some compressed seasons and some long layoffs, but I HATE warm temps, so my schedule favors the cooler seasons.
