Thank you very much Jon and Lundy, I'll try to incorporate these "light" hangs in the power, endurance and peak phases once a week. I'm sure that by the time I'll be starting another RPTM HB cycle these hangs will not be so easy.. I'll try 10s on / 10-15s off and I'll report back! curious to hear your experience on the 10-15 second rests. I have been thinking for awhile that the traditional 3 second rest is rhythmically very different from how I feel doing sets of 3-5 lifts. Being able to chalk and take a breath is really nice between reps and eliminating the pump factor allows a stronger focus on strength rather than strength endurance.
tetrault , Maisch also mentioned in that podcast experimenting with hangs up to 2 minutes. I've heard that longer hangs can be more shoulder tweaky. I have used volume to break plateus, and MarkAnderson has as well. Adding an extra rep on the end of a repeater set, or increasing hang times incrementally by a second or two. I have done both and really like increasing hang times slightly. For example starting at 7/10x3 and moving toward 10/10x3.
