Wow, that looks really cool! I've never heard of such a thing anywhere else. Night climbing would be a neat experience. I spent four months in Australia in 2004 but I never made it to Brisbane (my sister-in-law was with us and she did--to see Steve Irwin's zoo). We started in Sydney, climbed at the Blueys, Nowra, some Sydney sea cliffs and Point Perp, then went into Victoria and spent about 6 weeks between the Grampians and Arapiles. We also drove up to Moonarie and flew to Cairnes to learn SCUBA diving. We finished the trip with 2 weeks in Tasmania. Isn't there a well known crag near Brisbane named Frog Buttress (or something like that)? Are all the Queensland crags named after wildlife?

I'd like to say there are not that many, but there is also Serpent, Emu Mountain, and Dinosaur Rocks. There are heaps of crags though - about 30 crags, and 4.5k of routes within 3 hours driving of Brisbane, so it's a great place for climbers - and most of them are not names after animals Sounds liker a great trip, you covered a lot of ground, but really, you need a good couple of months at least if you are going to make the long trek out to Oz - did you get on Punks in the Gym in the Arapiles at all?

I didn't. At that time my hardest send was 13b, so it was pretty far out of my league. I did Punks in the Gunks though (which is the original crack line that Punks in the Gym splits off of). The hardest thing I did was Serpentine, which has got to be one of the best rock climbs in the world.

Wow, that looks like a pretty cool urban outdoor gig! 2016 Goals: 1. Get my hands on (or in, since it's a crack) Fallen Arches, 5.13a, and start figuring out how to train for it (2017 RP is the goal). www.mountainproject.com/v/fallen-arches/1060380702. P-38, 5.10+ (readily admitted sandbagged by the first ascentionist at 5.11) in Lone Peak Cirque. www.mountainproject.com/v/p-38/106866380. 3. Survive 29 pitches in a day at Indian Creek for my friend's 29th birthday. 4. Get rid of the trad snobbery and really try some hard (for me) sport climbs for the sake of gaining hard mileage. 5. Start this training gym idea even if it's out of a storage unit.
