Has anyone tried mounting the RPTC hangboard "sideways"? That is, the two halves of the hangboard would be parallel rather than on the same plane. When hangboarding, your palms would be facing each other rather than both palms facing forward.
The reason I ask is that some people seem to get ulnar injuries from hangboarding. Since the RPTC comes in two pieces, it seems like it might be possible to avoid this by mounting the two pieces sideways.
Some ergonomic keyboards seem to follow the principle that it's less injurious to have your hands oriented vertically rather than horizontally.
Thoughts? Is this a stupid idea?

Not a stupid idea! I think that is going too far though. The optimal position is probably somewhere between "same plane" and "parallel". Maybe something like 120-degrees or so? It would be cool to build an adjustable mounting system and try out different options.

Need to avoid the compression advantage though...
