Hey guys.
Been lurking on the forums for quite some time now, and really like the info, discussions and stories!
I've been looking for a place in Europe that sells the RPTC for quite some time now, and realized there is only one way I'll get it. I'll just have to go over there myself to buy it ;-)
This won't be a climbing trip unfortunately, going with my parents in their 70s and my 5 month pregnant fiancé.
My route will be SF-Yosemite-LA-*flight*-Miami-Key West. So I'm wondering if someone here can recommend a good store for buying climbing gear. Mainly cams, and ofcourse the reason we're going at all.. the RPTC ;-)
I'll have the most time in LA and Miami, so that's where it will be easiest to get to a store if anyone knows one.
Thanks for the help
-Øyvind

Not sure about climbing gear, but be sure to get your hands on stone crab claws when you're down at Key West! I was there in November, best crab I've had!

Oh nice, I'll be sure to do that :-) Any particular place you can recommend? I'll definately take any food, restaurant and other tips on what to try and do ;-)

There is a beach at Marathon that is pretty nice. Depends really on what you are looking for, I enjoyed the drive to Key West, along all the keys, more than Key West itself. Like many things, it was the journey, rather than the destination - in that sense I wouldn't rush the journey down the keys.

Ah, hehe, yes, I'm from Mandal in Norway ;-) But I got the book, I'm hoping to find the fingerboard ;-) So expencive when you add shipping and tax And totally agree with you Jet, it's usually always about the journey. Been looking forward to the drive out there for sure :-) Thanks again for the tip.

If you're flying in to San Francisco, I would bet that Planet Granite Climbing Gym could get the hangboard for you if you contacted them ahead of time. They may even carry it? But most climbing gyms could definitely order it in and should know exactly what you are referring to. I'd recommend emailing them.

Ah, good idea, maybe actually I could order it directly to the hotel I'm staying at and have them hold it a couple of days :-)
