I just interrupted my (first) training season for about two weeks because I had a bad cold. Now I was wondering whether I should continue where I was, continue where I would be, or start over completely? I guess it depends on my goals (just to get stronger in the fall) and the the phase I am in (start of power endurance). For me it seemed most logically consistent to start over. But it would be great to hear more generally what people think is the best way to deal with unscheduled training interruptions like that... In this question, I assumed that it is a bad idea to do something as demanding as PE training with a cold, but maybe there are other opinions? Thanks, Benedikt

I wouldn't recommend taking 2 weeks off for a cold, but that's in the past so nothing you can do about it now.
In my experience you can often recover a season after about a week off, so if you're really psyched to climb, or dreading re-starting the cycle, you could try picking up where you left off and see what happens. If that doesn't work, or you're happy to re-start, then do that. Chances are good you will have to do that anyway (if you want to reap the benefits of training).

Thanks for the advice. I probably shouldn't have taken off that long but did anyway :-) Starting over fits my schedule pretty good anyway since then I will be ready to perform in during my Winter break.
