Hi all-
I was wondering, when setting up the rock prodigy hang board, do you need to be able to adjust it every set to get the same width for shoulders based on the grip, or do you only set it up once from a certain point? If the latter, what point do you use for shoulder width? Thanks

Ideally, you would install an adjustable mount like those discussed here and here. If that's not an option for you, follow the tips here for determining a fixed mounting width.

I went with an adjustable mount 1.5 system and have been pretty happy with it. There is some element of experimentation involved with the spacing. Some grips pull my wrist in a slightly different direction (read: sloper) so shoulder width isn't necessarily always ideal, but is a good starting point.

If I could re-mount mine I'd definitely make it adjustable. Unfortunately an adjustable mount seemed to require more tools than a drill, which is all I had and all I needed for a permanent mount. You can absolutely get by with a fixed width.

i highly, highly recommend setting it up with an adjustable shoulder width capability. the french cleat is pretty easy to make, but if you don't have the tools you could probably bring the pieces of wood to a friend/neighbor/hardware store and have them make the skewed rip cuts.
when i originally set up my RPTC i didn't make it adjustable. after setting it up with the french cleat system, i realized that i like to use very different settings for the grips.
