Email from the man himself last weekend: Hey guys! Maybe you have seen but I wanted to write and let you guys know that I put together La Rambla yesterday. An amazing feeling. The route fit my style super well. All of those holds bite back! a nice change from the slippery uncertain feeling at Ceuse. You were absolutely right about Siurana, it’s an amazing crag. I’m stoked that I will have some more time here to try some of the other classic rigs. I might head to Oliana too at some point and try out Papichulo while I’m at it. Unlike the struggle with Biographie I feel like I have plenty of mental tenacity remaining for hopefully some more hard sends - or at least I can try. Thanks again for all of your help over the last year and a half! My climbing has really improved and it’s a cool feeling. And congrats on the new route Mark! Did you see the EpicTV piece on Insurrection? Thanks again guys. I owe you some beers and cake! Jonathan

Awesome.
I'm sure you know this Mark but it's my opinion that having a climber of Jonathan stature change his previously "successful" training to your methods and then take a jump up to the next level is way more valuable in validating your methods than having a top pro climber say, I'm good, train like me. Jonathan put his trust in your methods when he was already at a high level and it has paid off big time. The second example is hard to separate the genetics from the training methods, which has always been a big issue for me when reading "training" articles from the pros in the mags.
