I just received my Rock Prodigy board. I'll be making an adjustable slide this week end but just screwed it up for a quick try out. The only problem I have is the 3 finger pocket isn't quite as wide as my three largest fingers are and it rubs a bit on the sides of my fingers - not really comfortable for a long workout. Thinking about taking a dremal to the outside ends and making just a little more space. What's the best way to enlarge the hole - I don't need much? Feel free to insert big hand jokes here .

Dremel should be good. I have modified a bunch of my holds for may wall and it should go smoothly with a dremel.

Why not just use one of the large edges for a three finger pocked and leave the hangboard intact?

Why not just use one of the large edges for a three finger pocked and leave the hangboard intact? It's in my garage - I'll be the only one to ever use it - I feel I should be able to use any and all holds on it - it's not public in any way. What is the point of having a board with any hold or pocket I cannot use?

I would be very careful to just widen the sides or top and keep the curve of the bottom surface untouched. I find the IMR to have some of the most comfortable surfaces for holding max weight efforts, so you don't want to alter that aspect if possible.

i think the dremel will work, but you definitely want to avoid touching the grip surface (which you probably already know). you should be able to open up the sides a bit though.

It took longer to find the dremal than to fix it. It didn't need very much removed - you can hardly see any difference but I can certainly feel it. I never had to touch the bottom working area - just a little off the outside curve and all is well.
