Hi,
At the moment I'm in the middle of my PE Phase. I am climbing twice a week (saturday and sunday) and doing Linked bouldering circuits once every week (usually wednesday). Sometimes I can only climb one day of the weekend and I'd like to know your thoughts on training twice a week (LBC on the first day and Route Intervals on the second day). Has anyone experimented with this? And what would be an advisable rest between workouts? 24 hrs? 48 hrs? Would it be possible to LBC on wednesday, do some Route Intervals on Friday and climb on Sunday, for example?
Thanks,
Tiago

Hi Tiago,
I've got three young kids, so I've had to limit my gym workouts to two days a week. During the base fitness and power phases, I've only been able to work out two days a week reliably. Since the strength phase takes place largely in my basement, I'm more likely to get in three days a week. I can't speak to the PE phase, since I'm not there yet.
I'm only in my first season, but I'm already climbing significantly harder than before I started. Being on the old side (37), I'm finding the extra rest is very helpful as well.

Tiago,
You should be able to get three days without any problems. The Wednesday/Friday/Sunday schedule is ok, but I would suggest taking two rest days before your outdoor day (assuming you want to climb your best when you're outside). So if your schedule demands climbing on Sunday, I would train on Tuesday and Thursday.
