If I hit a PR at all, I plan on hitting it on my last hangboard session. I'm experimenting a bit this season though; I've dialed my weights back to focus on proper joint angle and planned to improve my last season's max by 5 pounds instead of overall (PR) max by 5 pounds. Thus far, every time I've addressed an element of my climbing with a true spirit of humility (addressing the truth of my strengths/weaknesses rather than my desired position), it has lead to significant breakthroughs.
But yeah; I'd switch to power too.
