Has anyone used the forge sloper? I was using the RPTC sloper as my last grip per session, but decided I needed a more challenging grip. I tried to switch to the forge sloper but the angle felt impossible. If I'm very deliberate when taking my feet off the ground, I can hang for 2 reps, but then my fingers fire off the board. I also felt like I was crimping the sloper. It didn't seem to matter if I used body weight or took off 60 pounds.

Hey Chris-
I try to stay aware of how my whole finger surface is pressing directly down into the board. I am avoiding any sort of crimp or semi crimp feeling that would increase the friction at the tip of the fingers. I sort of imagine a gecko hand, pressing flat into the board and then using a lot of tension to prevent the grip from moving. Somehow it is about keeping tension through the wrist in the right manner and the grip will not deteriorate. This is assuming that you have decently dry conditions. The cleanliness of the grip is a major issue as well.
In winter of 2016 my best set of the season was +5, spring +10, summer +15, by fall my best was +30. (Though I switched from intermediate to advanced so the last set in fall was just 5 reps rather than 6).

Yeah, I've tried to grip it with my whole hand contacting the surface, but that doesn't seem to make much of a difference either. I may just have to go back to the RPTC sloper.
