I am moving to a semi major bouldering destination in the near future. I currently have a old 'mad pad' but I am looking to buy the best biggest, thickest, pad on the market to complement it. What are you all using, are organic pads still the best?

I am a huge fan of Elderid , Asana's, and the BD mondo

I have a Pusher King pad, but they are out of business now. I have two pads, which I affectionately refer to as my "big arse pads", from Asana in my barn. They're 8' x 4' x 10" thick. I've had them for three years and they look and feel like new, except for a random bird poop stain or two. If their regular bouldering pads are as good as my drag pads, I'd use them in a heartbeat.
I also take two mats out with me when I boulder...

I have had a Mondo, and think it is nice for about a season (assuming you get out multiple times a week), then the foam blows out, and you are left with a really nice napkin you can lay over rocks for mental ducktape. Sadly, one of the best pads I have ever had was the misty mountain pad, but alas I do not think they make it any longer.
ASANA --> GREAT, but slippery! BD --> Looks great but don't last Organic --> Great pads, but might as well give up your first born DMM --> A lot of closed foam, kind of hard for highballs Moon --> Hard to find, but loved'em Flashed --> Couldnt tell you

I have a Carcass Catcher from SoILL. I like landing on it better than anything else that I use, including the Organic, Metolius, Misty Mountain, MadRock, Cordless, etc.
It is stable, non slippery, thick, and responds predictably when you land on it. It makes the best top pad for organizing other pads underneath.
The only downside is that it is hard to carry through bushes and trees, but besides that I really like it. I think it is a bit bigger than the current So Ill pad that is available. [edit: just looked up size: 60 by 44]
In contrast, I find the Organic pads to be very slippery, especially when stacked on each other.

I have a BD dropzone, a Metolius pad, and a Big pad from Organic...
The Dropzone blew out quickly.
Metolius has been awesome.
The Organic pad is the newest to the clan and so far has been amazing. The memory foam on the top is pretty awesome.

As a followup, I splurged and got a 5" Big pad. I love it so much that I'm probably going to buy a full pad + a half pad to go with it. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Do you get Snap pads in the States? They're truly bad ass! They have pretty tech foam with air releasing holes that really cushion BIG falls. I've had mine for about two years now and still feels f f fresh. Pretty expensive and pretty heavy (10kg) but worth their weight!
