Hey guys! My SO has been having a nagging pain on her left middle finger right on the DIP joint. She says that she feels like the joint "locks" after full crimping and she needs to bend the joint to "unlock" it. The pain seems to be right on the joint and happens specially while warming up, once she's ready to crush she doesn't feel it.
She's been having this sensation for a long time now, years. She's tried not climbing for months, EPI (similar to dry needling but with a bit of electricity applied on the damaged area to stimulate growth), massages, RICEing, etc.
Any thoughts on what this could be?
Thanks for the help!

Is it similar or related to the sensation of wanting to "crack/pop" your knuckles?

Is it similar or related to the sensation of wanting to "crack/pop" your knuckles? MarkAnderson, thanks for replying. Not really, she says that its more of a pain sensation and an overall different feeling. She says it feels like something is out of place and that when she "unlocks" it by bending the joint it feels normal again.

i get something like this (feels like my little knuckle wants to pop, but not really too painful) in my pinkies during my 4 finger open crimp sets some times. not really sure what it is, but i have noticed it for a long time. does she have any 'double-joints' in any of her fingers?
