Ha! It's Washington, but that's top secret, so don't tell anyone on the forum. I'm a bit suspicious of the internet, so I still struggle with just how much information about myself I should/shouldn't be putting out there. I love the photo I used for my profile, but I was a bit torn on whether or not I should put the faces of my family out there. I suppose I'm a Luddite. I still don't have a social media account of any kind.
Funny though, I though you were an American living in Australia; judging by your accent from the podcast, I was wrong.

I was an Australian, living in Texas, that moved back to Australia. Everyone here gives me stick for rolling my 'R's' like an American. I picked it up almost out of a need to survive over there, after I got sick of repeating myself all the time. I'm yet to shake it.

We just need to teach you how to say route. Kim tried, repeatedly, but you belligerently ignored him.
Great first up episode. My favourite anecdote was Kim hanging out studying pure mates with his teacher, whilst waiting out the foul weather. How many athletes do that?

Another hangover from the US... Geeze guys, I'm trying to appeal to an international audience here Interestingly, a mate of mine texted me after listening asking what spoogey meant in the context of climbing.

It basically refers to humidity. At times here you will get this layer of humidity on the rock... it won't seem that humid, but the rock kind of feels clammy and slimey. That's spoogey.
But yes, it also means the other thing here. Australians are a bit of a crude bunch at times.

Kim mentions in there that he was doing pullups with over 100 kilos. That's sounds like a freakishly high number. Any thoughts on the utility of pulling like that?

Unless your rack consists 44 gallon drums for a massive off width higher up the pitch.

Has everyone polished their ear canals, ready for the next episode?
It's getting close. I can't wait.

The Neil Monteith Podcast is now up, also available on YouTube to watch.
I am editing a podcast at the moment with Simon Carter - a well known Australian climbing photographer.
I have also interviewed Lucy Stirling, one of Australia's leading competition climbers.

Watched and listened to the Neil Monteith podcast. Well done again Jackson, another quality product.
Also good to see you blasted up Megalomaniac the other day. A fun little jaunt.

I have my eyes on a few of the hard 'sport' routes at Araps and don't mind getting on a but of fun trad, which also keeps the wife psyched. I'm learning more and more how important that is.
