Friends,
My right arm has developed some pain in the forearm extensor between the hand and elbow but closer to the hand. The pain comes when doing harder moves on my 40* or while campusing. The pain comes from quickly letting go of a hold which I am pulling on quite hard on. If I don't allow lots of rest between problems, 2 - 3 min, then pain begins to build and radiates throughout the hand and elbow. I do not experience any pain while grabbing holds or hang boarding. It seems completely isolated to releasing from a strenuous grip rapidly.
The quality of the pain is a dull ache or burn, it does not begin sharp but can start to feel that way if ignored. Has anyone had anything like this or know good ways to treat it?

This sounds like the pain I get from campusing and then bouldering hard in one session without enough forearm rest. I'm not sure what it is; I assume it's just a type of tendonitis. It takes a few weeks, maybe a month or two, to get rid of once it starts. For rehab, I stop campusing and cut bouldering sessions short or do easier problems. I also will stretch my wrists and forearms daily and I use a Flexbar (green one) and do elbow tendonitis exercises on that.
