I eat Balance Bars between burns on climbing days, and sometimes pre-workout on training days (depending on the timing of the workout relative to my last meal). At the end of a climbing day, or after a workout, I eat a protein bar. I used to eat the Cliff Builder protein bars (20g protein, but something like 290 calories, which is a lot for someone on a diet). Now that they won't sponsor slackliners I don't eat those anymore. Seriously though, I switched to "Pure Protein" bars, which also have 20-21g of protein (depending on the flavor) but only 180 calories. I like these because they are super cheap and lower in calories than most bars with that much protein I get them in a case of 18 at Costco for ~$15 or so. The Cliffbuilder bars were closer to $1.50 each IIRC.

Been making my own biscuits / flapjacks just recently. Roughly 20g protein from a plain whey source. For sustained carbs I make them with buckwheat flour / rolled oats. Gives steady energy that lasts all day...
