Anyone have any experience training with or through carpel tunnel? Anything work well? Looks like I may be developing it for the first time and am going to try to nip it in the bud. Will try a wrist splint at night.

OK, so it looks like I'm the only one with this right now. In the event that someone in the future suffers a similar fate and can benefit...
I am slowly getting better and certainly not worsening. Current rx:
1) wearing a wrist splint at night 2) dutifully and daily stretching wrist and forearm/finger flexors 3) stretching fascial and nerve tissue around brachial artery and vein and biceps 4) taking two full rest days between my power endurance workouts
As much as it pains me to do it, I'm going to end my performance phase early after my trip to the Red in a week.
Hope the above information helps someone

Hey Chris-
Sorry you did not get any answers yet. I had carpal tunnel from overuse making ceramic pottery when I was younger. I ended up taking months away from the activity that caused it, but it seemed to stay in the same condition.
Eventually, I found that doing simple range of motion exercises in a swimming pool seemed to help me feel better. Perhaps it was similar to the use of rice bucket exercises for fingers and the gentle exercises helped it heal. It might also just be coincidence and it just took a long time and it coincided with the range of motion exercises.
Anyways, you might give it a try in addition to the things you mention in your post.

It does seem to be doing better with the current treatment, but I also started to treat it as soon as I started having symptoms.
What types of ROM exercises did you use? I'm assuming that you used the water in the pool for resistance. Does it ever flare with your climbing training?

I'm beginning to wonder if I may have misdiagnosed myself. While I do seem to have paresthesia in the median nerve distribution (thumb, index and middle finger), it seems to be from compression more proximal than the carpal tunnel, potentially from the bicipital aponeurosis or pronator teres. Fortunately, conservative treatment isn’t much different. I’m still stretching but am now working on median nerve “glide” techniques.
