Anyone have any beta for Pump-o-Rama over in Rifle? My biggest questions for setting an LBC are 1) number of hand movements and 2) whether to set it on the 38deg woodie or the 60deg cave. I could only find one video of the route and "the business" appears to be ~30 hand movements, including the sections the video skips over. I'm planning on using dual-texture holds to simulate polished feet and lots of big, blocky holds as underclings, etc. I also want to set a kneebar in the circuit to stress-proof that technique, so long as the kneebar isn't good enough to be used as a rest.

Sounds like you're on the right track. I was going to tell you to use the most polished holds you can find, but you already have that covered, haha. As for steepness, it's kinda tiered, like an upside down staircase, so you could make an argument for either 38 or 60, but I would guess on average it's much closer to 38.

Better aim for a weekday! Sorry -- I was reading this thread before I had my morning coffee. I thought you meant that you were planning on running circuits on Pump-O-Rama, hence my comment. But yeah, I guess the comment still holds true; it's probably the most popular 13a in the canyon by far, except for maybe The Beast.

Thanks for the beta guys! If I can find a volume big enough, maybe I'll throw it on the 38 degree wall to simulate that stepped nature.
And yeah, definitely headed there on a weekday. For all the times I've climbed in Rifle, I've never been there on a Fri/Sat/Sun. Weekday mornings are quiet as can be.

Hey Cozisco, I'd add a right to left traverse in the v4 range for the end of your LBC. I remember there was some climbing out of the crux rest that could be somewhat pumpy.
